He also urged central govt to speed up border road construction in this area. ‘What an irony’, Shri Advani said that ‘while Chinese come on the border patrolling in their armored vehicles, our ITBP Jawans have to trek 105 kms on foot to reach Indian side of the border’.

Shri Tarun Vijay, leader of the  year long campaign said that the Border Darshan campaign group is slated  to visit 13 various border areas  in the country spread over 12 months to see the situation and prepare a national Border Status Report  to be given to the President and the Prime Minister .

Its grand finale is to be held at Dehradun in April 2012 to be addressed by RSS stalwart Datta ji Hosbale and senior BJP leaders. It will be attended by ex soldiers and border area analysts.
